Wooldreamers - Manchelopi - Manchega Unspun Wool
Manchelopi is an unspun yarn made from 100% Manchega wool from La Mancha.
A new protagonist has arrived at WoolDone, soft (really very soft!!), light and fluffy. It is called Manchelopi and comes from Manchega breed wool. It is produced in Spain and is divided into 10 wonderful colors.
The discs are 100 grams, and are developed with double strands. You can choose to use only one strand and keep the other aside (3/4 mm needle), or two strands together at the same time (6/6.5 mm needle).
The yarn is called unspun because the fiber is almost completely unworked. This process makes the yarn quite fragile because of the length of its fibers but it turns into a sweater that is both sturdy and soft.
If the garment breaks (it can happen, it's all normal) join the two ends together by rubbing them between your fingers.
Composition : 100% unspun Manchego wool
Yardage : 100 g ~ 230 mt (460 mt). As for the thickness, given the double strand, it will depend on our desire: if we want to knit it with two strands we will have a thickness of 230 m / 100 g (DK); if we prefer a single strand, we will have double the meters: 460 m / 100 g (fingering).
Recommended needles : 3 - 6.5 mm
Care Instructions: Hand wash in warm (not hot) water with mild soap. Lay flat to air dry.
